Jorge Mazzini

Filmmaker and Cinematographer: born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Studied filmmaking and cinematography in Buenos Aires, Argentina where he gained his storytelling capabilities and audiovisual production skills. During his eight years in Buenos Aires, he filmed various short films and collaborated with other filmmakers on various projects unique in their own way. He has worked as a freelance videographer and photographer, in New York City, mostly documenting live music, performance, interviews and art pieces by different local artists. Since 2013 until 2016, he worked as an artist assistant and videographer for sculptor David Altmejd, producing both sculptures and installations along with different pieces of social media content. He has experience as a teaching instructor for Introduction to 16mm filmmaking workshops in association with the cinema/arts non-profit, MONO NO AWARE. His latest short films, shot mostly on Super 8mm and 16mm film, explore an experimental non-narrative documentary style that aim to evoke an emotional connection with the visuals. Currently, he works in digital marketing, where for the past four years he has created and produced both video and photography digital content for high profile clients.
